  • Thrillophilia’s North East Tour: A Journey Like No Other

    July 30, 2024
    North East

A trip to the North East will surprise you with its natural wonders and warm hospitality. Today it has been 11 days since I came back home from the trip but I keep replaying those beautiful memories in my head. As a result, here I am writing it all down and expressing my gratitude to Thrillophilia for arranging such an amazing trip for me.

I am a solo traveller and it is my honest opinion that there is no better place than North East in India for female travellers. I explored Sikkim on my first trip to the North East and this time I planned on visiting Arunachal Pradesh. I thought of saving my time and energy by simply booking a tour package which would cover everything. I came across Thrillophiliaโ€™s website and its affordable package of Arunachal Pradesh. To know more about the site, I scrolled through several reviews of Thrillophilia which were really convincing.

Without any delays, I dropped an inquiry for the same package. I received a call from an agent of the company the very next day and confirmed all the details. The booking process was extremely easy and I had to do nothing other than share my details, confirm certain things and pay the money. After this, I booked my flight ticket, packed my bags and got ready for this much awaited trip to Arunachal Pradesh.

Arunachal Pradesh - Adventure, Exploration and Peace

My journey started from Guwahati Airport. With utter excitement I grabbed my luggage and headed out of the airport to meet my driver. I hopped in the car and enjoyed a four and a half hour journey to my first destination, Bhalukpong. Upon arrival, I was left speechless. There were lush green valleys, towering trees and huge green mountains, all surrounding me. Also, the weather was superb with cloudy skies and cool winds, as if Arunachal Pradesh was welcoming me.

I checked-in at my hotel which was a beautiful cottage with a backdrop of mountains. I received such a warm welcome by the staff that I felt like I was at home. I decided to rest for a while in my room, overlooking the beautiful valleys and mountains. In the evening, I managed to reach the gorgeous Kameng River on my own where I enjoyed kayaking. On my way back to the hotel, I found a local market from where I purchased the prettiest handmade earrings.

    Arunachal

Next day, right after a delicious breakfast, my driver picked me up from the hotel. I got transferred to Dirang. My first stop was Tipi where I visited an orchidarium which is home to over 500 species of orchids. Some other beautiful places that I visited were Nag Temple, Apple Farm, Kiwi Farm, Dirang Monastery and Kalachakra Monastery. A visit to these monasteries was not only soothing but I also learnt how to reconnect my mind with my body through meditation.

Day 3 included a transfer to Tawang. On the way, I got to witness the beauty of Sela Pass and Sela Lake. I also made a stop at JaswantGarh War Memorial and Nuranang Falls, a highly recommended place in the Thrillophilia reviews. I reached my hotel in Tawang late at night, pretty tired, so I simply decided to order dinner in my room and rest.

Day 4 included a complete city tour of Tawang. I covered a lot of stunning places like Bumla Pass, Shonga-tser Lake, Taktsang Gompa and Tawang Monastery (the largest Buddhist monastery in India). In the evening, I explored the local market to try out some snacks and purchase some gifts for my family.

On day 5, I got transferred from Tawang to Bomdila which is famous for its apple orchards. First, I checked-in at a beautiful homestay after which my driver picked me up for the city tour. I explored Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery from where I could see stunning views of the entire town. Next, I visited the Thub-Chog Gatsel Ling Monastery to learn about Buddhism and practise meditation.

    North East

The next day, I again got transferred to Guwahati from Bomdila. I had requested to arrange my stay in the same hotel as it was my favourite of all. Then I explored many places like Planetarium, Nehru Park, ISKCON, Saraighat Bridge and Fancy Bazaar.

Unfortunately, on day 7 I had to head back home. Before leaving I made sure to thank everyone for their hospitality.

    Why Choose Thrillophilia?

This company not only made everything easier for me but also saved me a lot of money that I usually spend on trips. Also, I love the fact that you can customise your own package which gives you the freedom to decide where you want to spend your money. Not to forget, this company treats you more like a family than a customer. I received calls in between my trip from the companyโ€™s agent who ensured if I was having a good time.

To thank them, I am writing this review of Thrillophilia to let the readers know about my amazing experience in Arunachal Pradesh.
