โWe take photographs as a return ticket to a moment otherwise goneโ

After almost finishing the first month of 2020, it feels great to rewind the year gone by. Quite an eventful year it was – a year full of travel & memories! If you ask us to look back & give tribute to one thing we both love, that thing can be nothing else than โTravelโ. Experiencing the unknown, seeing the unseen, unlearning the myths about a place and its people have always been our primary reason to travel. And going through those moments captured can be truly overwhelming and purest form of happiness while we are stuck at our daily chores of life.
This past year was absolutely a special year for us as we ticked off so many places off our bucket list and did so many things for the first time. Be it experiencing our first snow in Ladakh or diving in the Red Sea. Boarding our first ever international flight or most importantly living the childhood dream of floating in Dead Sea.
2019 was all the more special as we launched our travel dream – โThe Exploring Eyesโ , to share our travel experiences as we feel it. And to top it all, Zoomin helped us create an awesome photo album capturing our year full of travel & memories from 2019.
We love travel decors and were actually looking for some sort of travel memoir when we came across Zoomin. Loved their vast variety of customized products. We ordered one softcover 8*8 album with 32 images of our choice that came with completely customizable template, photo placing, designing and text options. The print quality was great and it absolutely satisfied our desire for capturing 2019 in frames. Skimming through printed pictures always stimulates a happy feeling and both of us like to print photos rather than just keeping it on our mobiles or laptops. We actually have our own Travel wall !
Letโs take you on a quick tour through our 2019 Travel memoir that Zoomin put together for us.
ย
Jordan:
ย

Jordan was our first trip to the Middle East and first flying with an International Airlines. A 2000-year-old lost city (one of the seven wonders of the world), open air theatres, ancient roman ruins, vast stretch of dessert, wadis and waterfalls, lowest point on earth, spectacular azure blue sea; the Biblical kingdom of Jordan is History, adventure and culture all served on the same plate.
We did our first ever diving at Red Sea in Jordan and it was magical. We also checked a long pending bucket list of floating at the Dead Sea

Ladakh:

On the foots of mighty mountain ranges, deep blue skies, a hint of green here and there, high motorable passes, vintage monasteries, crystal clear lakes, marshmallow-y snowcapped peaks, and breath-taking landscapes, Leh Ladakh is the mother of all road trips.
We experienced our first snow at the top of mighty Khardung La and it was just out worldly. Immense respect to the Indian Army who are stationed at these high altitudes.
Here is the most common Leh Ladakh itinerary ย you should be considering for an ideal 9-day road trip from Srinagar.
Palawan, Philippines:

From azure blue waters to diverse marine life, from divine sunsets to surreal lagoons, from hidden beaches to towering limestone cliffs; Palawan is beautiful!
If you are looking for a less touristy and heavenly beach destination in South East Asia, look no further.
These postcards from Palawan will surely make you book your tickets right now to this wonderland.
Kotagiri, Tamilnadu:

A cancelled trip to Kerala brought us to this beautiful, off the tourist radar, small hill station of Kotagiri on the foothills of the Nilgiris. Amidst acres of tea plantations and Nilgiri mountains at the backdrop ,our hostel ย The Door to Nirvanaย was a bliss. Cozy and comfy bunks, a lot of common spaces to hang out and play around, a hammock in the garden, good food, tea with a view and amazing hosts – It felt like the ultimate Nirvana.
You can take a walk through the tea plantation, enjoy at Catherine Waterfalls, get amazed by the panoramic view of Nilgiri eastern slopes at Kodanad viewpoint.
Madurai-Rameshwaram-Kanyakumari Road trip

We finally ticked off this long pending road trip through the southern Indian peninsula for our mandatory annual family trip. We came across some iconic temples, marvelous Vivekanda Rock and many other mythological spots. However, the tour was not only a temple-run; the deserted village of Dhanuskodi was what we loved the most. The drive to this southernmost tip of India with Bay of Bengal on one side and the Indian Ocean on the other was mind-blowing.
And you know what!!!! As soon as we reached Dhanuskodi, our cellphones popped up with a message from Airtel , it said – โWelcome to Sri Lankaโ. Our driver told us that since Sri Lanka is not very far , Airtel catches the Sri Lankan signals. How Crazy, right?
So many beautiful places and so many beautiful memories in a year full of travel. Our year full of such amazing memories were perfectly captured by Zoomin. And they are experts in making people feel special in many ways.ย
